Zlatá Koruna Kingly Music Festival 2007

For several years Zlatá Koruna Kingly Music Festival ranks among traditional music festivals taking place during the summer season in Český Krumlov region or in the town. The festival takes place from 4th August till 28th September. This year´s festival which is the fifth year takes place to commemorate 250th anniversary of birh of Ignaz Pleyel, the important Austrian composer who in 1807 founded an important piano factory in Paris. In the course of this year´s festival a unique historical piano made by I. Pleyel, Paris from 1854 will be used.

Zlatá Koruna Kingly Music Festival started in 2003 to commemorate 740th anniversary of the closter foundation by Přemysl Otakar II., the Czech king. During the previous years of the festival the building which is the national historical monument proved to be a unique place for organizing of music productions of various size.

The patrons of the festivals are Václav Jehlička, the Czech ministry of culture, Jan Zahradník, the sheriff of the Southbohemian region and Tomáš Jirsa, the senator.
