Chamber Music Festival 2013

The twenty-seventh Chamber Music Festival taking place from 28th June to 7th July 2013 will delight not only classical music enthusiasts but also fans of other genres.

The opening act the festival offers is ( on June 28th) a Baroque pantomime with music by Antonio Vivaldi, which will take place in original Baroque theater. The performance will be livened up by singing, dance performances and refreshments which will be served at the end of the act.

You can look forward to Baroque Night at the Český Krumlov castle on Saturday 29th June. You will be transported during this unique evening to a baroque ball with dance, ballet and theatrical scenes, watch baroque pantomime with arias and dances and experience a unique celebration with a baroque fireworks reminding of castle celebrations of the 18th century.

The festival performances will take place in different venues of Český Krumlov. You can look forward to an organ concert by Professor Jan Hora, piano performance by Karageorgiev Trio and Český Krumlov String Orchestra performance accompanied by harpist Catherine Englichová. Jazz fans will be pleased by concert of System Tandem with jazzman and flute player Jiří Stivín. The beautiful space of the Masquerade Hall will introduce the Echoes of the Prague Spring as well as tones of chamber music performed by the Talich Quartet, Eben Trio and Siempre Nuevo Duet.
