Easter Krumlov

Springtime and Easter enter our town together and bring along the traditional craft market as well as various entertainment.

The square will come alive with the craft market starting from Thursday 24 March to Monday 28 March. Craftsmen and tradesmen will have an abundant selection of products such as rattles, whistles, Easter eggs decorated in various techniques, Easter whip, spring flowers and decorations as well as seasonal delicacies.

The Český Krumlov Monasteries will present a rich schedule of events. You can tour the entire monastery area in a non-traditional way, try out traditional folk handicrafts at the Monastery Courtyard and the kids can have fun during the treasure hunt, theatre, Easter workshops or during an unusual fairy tale reading. An Easter Celebration with the folklore ensemble Jitřenka and the Bagpipe Band will recall Easter traditions such as braiding of the Easter whips, Easter egg painting or Easter baking.

The traditional Easter concert of the Krumlov Chamber Orchestra and the Perchta Municipal Singing Choir will take place in the St. Vitus cathedral on Sunday 27 March.

There will be a fun trail with animals and various Easter workshops for children where they can make Easter eggs or decorations during the Easter celebrations.
