About the KLASA - Who gives the KLASA Grade Label
Since 2003, the Minister of Agriculture has been granting food and agricultural products the KLASA National Grade Label to certify their superior quality. Since the beginning of 2004, this prestigious label has been administered by the Marketing Department of the State Agricultural Intervention Fund (SAIF).
As of August 23, 2007, 1419 products from 204 producers have earned the KLASA National Grade Label.
Awareness of the Label has been further increased by an advertising campaign in the press and on television, beginning June 2005.

Conditions
The KLASA National Grade Label enables consumers and customers to more readily identify food products and attest to their superior quality compared to competing food products. The Grade Label is granted for 3 years (though the privilege can be extended beyond that) but can be revoked in case of worsened quality or non-compliance with the terms under which it was originally granted. Required quality and composition of products are among the things judged by and once the label is granted checked by the State Agricultural and Food Inspection Agency.
