CYCLING

.. The town of Český Krumlov is a popular stop of cycle tourists journeying around South Bohemia on their "wire donkeys". It is ideal for one-day bike trips into the surroundings and a good base for several days' stay while getting to know this multifarious region.

BOATING TRAVEL DOWN THE VLTAVA

.. The Vltava is the longest Czech river and is ideally navigable. A special experience for all and an untraditional type of holiday is travelling down the Vltava by canoe or raft. Boat rental companies offer services even for absolute beginners: rental of boats and of complete equipment and transport to the start or pick-up from the finish of the trip.

Czech Duathlon Championship. Start and finish in Svornosti Sq., start at 12 noon. Running course 2 x 9 km in the surroundings of Český Krumlov, cycling course 68 km from Č. Krumlov and via Chvalšiny, Brloh, Smědeč, to Chroboly, back via Smědeč, Ktiš, Chvalšiny and back to the start. First man will finish at approx. 2.50 p.m., first woman about 30 minutes later. Announcement of winners at 5 p.m. in Svornosti Square.
