The castle was opened to the public as one of the first museums in Bohemia halfway through the 19th century. Neither the appearance or the furniture of the castle have changed since undergoing Romanticist rebuilding. The interiors, mostly Gothic style, are equipped with special items of furniture, some of which were carved by specialised carvers for the needs of the museum.

Kleť Observatory is one of the foremost locations in the world for the tracking and discovery of comets and other terrestrial bodies. During the tour your will be informed about Kleť observatory's research programme and its results see a permanent exhibition of astronomical photographs taken at the observatory including a long-term exhibition "Comet Gallery".
