Galleries, museums and other historical monuments closed as of 12 October 2020

On 8 October 2020, the Government of the Czech Republic adopted Resolution No. 996 and approved another package of crisis measures in response to unfavourable developments in the COVID-19 epidemic. The government, with effect from 12  a.m. on 12 October 2020 11.59 p.m. on 25 October 2020, prohibits, among other things, visits and tours of museums, galleries, exhibition centres, castles, chateaux and similar historical or cultural objects, observatories and planetariums.

These institutions will therefore remain closed to the public in Český Krumlov at least until October 25, with the State Castle and Chateau of Český Krumlov ending its visitor season completely (with the exception of the Castle Tower and the Castle Museum, which should reopen to the public after October 25). "Following a government resolution, the monuments are closing on Monday, October 12. Objects with year-round operation are also closed until further notice. The Castle Advent festivities will not take place this year either. Thank you to all the visitors for their support and we look forward to seeing you next season! " a statement published on the National Heritage Institute website states.

We will keep you updated and informed on the reopening of galleries and museum of Český Krumlov.
