Dear friends and guests. The Kiwanis Club Český Krumlov has the honor of inviting for the sixth time the handicapped guests and their escorts to visit the historical town of Český Krumlov without barriers. As usual, there are special viewing tours available at the castle and the baroque theatre, town tours with a professional guide. Many museums and galleries have also opened their doors enabling the handicapped visitors and their escorts to view many interesting exhibitions. For the adventurous there is the river Vltava boat tour allowing you a fresh view of the town. On the square you can also visit a marketplace of products made by the handicapped and view some interesting performances. Included in the program are performances by T.I.K. dance group, dance performances "When everything is upside down" and "Pudgy Girls", boys dance group "Break dance", girls dance group "Hip hop", Theatre of Jára Pokojský performing a play "Africa". As part of the "Let's try it for a while" program, everyone can experience the world from a handicapped person's point of view and understand their daily tribulations better. arious means of transportation produced by the inventor Mr. Miroslav Vacek will also be on display. And if you still will have energy left at the end of the day, you can join other jazz lovers and visit the concert as part of the Jazzky Krumlov International Festival in the courtyard of Hotýlek u Malého Vítka. The 2nd viewing route will be included in the event program. The Castle provides a guide in Czech language and free entry to all registered handicapped visitors and their escort. The modified route includes: The Coated hallway, painting hall, chambermaid's room and the closet of countess Eleonora, boudoir, bedroom of countess Eleonora, study, ante-room, dining room and return to the garden. Maximum duration 60 minutes. The group can include a maximum 7 wheel-chaired visitors + their escorts, a total of up to 25 persons. The tours start at the summer riding school (the garden across the Castle Riding Hall). Tours commence at 10 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm. Noon break between 12 and 1 pm. This tour is not suitable for mobile beds.

Self-guided viewing of the current exhibitions: from 10 am to 6 pm. Exhibitions: permanent documentary exhibition documenting the life and work of Egon Schiele. During this unique tour you can learn a lot about the world of photography but also about life in the Šumava region where Czech, Austrian and German borders meet at the turn of 19th and 20th century and in the 1st half of the 20th century. The house with the photo studio itself is an architectural jewel.

This museum houses an exhibition of puppets from the National Museum in Prague. The exhibition is included in the program "Touch Český Krumlov" and introduces some popular puppets to visually impaired visitors. Fíďa Gallery - sculptures, paintings, art installations.

Group view of the town with a professional guide with accompanied by volunteer assistants. The group will have max. 20 wheel-chaired persons plus the entourage. Guided tours start at the Svornosti square.

A group tour for the visually impaired. A commented walk around the town with the aid of assistants. There will be stops along the route allowing the visually impaired guests to learn interesting facts about the town and also directly touch the precious historical objects. Tours are free of charged for the visually impaired and their escort.

This is a fresh view of the historical town center of Český Krumlov from the river Vltava. Period boats are manned by two skilled boatmen. N.B. Boat rides will take place weather and water conditions permitting. Departure: from Hotel Gold, arrival: to the Na Fortně place or to the Eggenberg brewery.

The rich program includes performances by: T.I.K. dance group, Parental and Friends Association for the Handicapped Club Jablonec nad Nisou, performances "When everything is upside down" and "Pudgy Girls" by the Luňáček day care center from Louny, Boys dance group "Break dance", Elementary practical school Kojetín and their dance group "Hip hop" and a dance "Declaration", Theatre of Jára Pokojský at the Elementary practical school Kojetín performing a play "Africa" (based on the famous play by Jára Cimrman Theatre), Archa Community o. s. Brno with "Let's try it for a while" - a performance for the non-handicapped visitors. Everyone can for example experience the view of the world from a wheelchair. There will also be handicrafts on display and sale produced in protected workshops employing the handicapped. Various means of transportation produced by the inventor Mr. Miroslav Vacek will also be on display. Ms. PaedDr. Eva Hotovcová and Mr. Petr Kronika will moderate the entire day.

We recommend to all participants in the event to register as soon as possible and reserve their places for an event or tour of their choice. The capacity for some events is limited and therefore we can only guarantee a certain number of places. You can either use our on-line reservation form, or e-mail us at: handicap@ckrumlov.cz. If using the on-line form, please state in the notes section the following as additional information: type of handicap, no. of handicapped participants, no. of escorts, no. and registration numbers of the vehicles and other possible requests. You can of course participate also without prior registration just by showing up. However, guests with advance registration will have a priority.
Institutions, organizations and organized groups can also use the on-line registration form. Please state in the notes section the following additional information about your group: contact details, total size of group, no. of handicapped participants, no. and registration numbers of the vehicles etc. You can also e-mail us at handicap@ckrumlov.cz
If you wish to help us as a volunteer assistant, please let us know at handicap@ckrumlov.cz. Our volunteers help as personal assistants (guides for the visually impaired, wheelchair assistance, personal escort etc.), servicing the stair climbers, giving out information about the event and about the town, preparing and cleaning up the various stations, helping with getting the handicapped from and into cars, rafts etc. It is a voluntary and therefore unpaid help. We can offer food for our assistants (lunch) and accommodation when required. As the total number of assistants required is limited, we reserve the rights to reserve some requests without a reason. The selected assistants will be contacted and informed using the contact details provided.
There are no extra options for accommodation and no funding available to cover accommodation costs by the organizers. Nevertheless, we hope that you will be able to make a choice from one of the standard options available.
