Advent and Christmas in Český Krumlov 2018

Get to know another face of Český Krumlov. A face full of calm and poetry. Enjoy the Christmas atmosphere of Český Krumlov, which will simply swallow you - advent and Christmas markets, concerts, angelic procession thruough the town, angelic monasteries. Advent and Christmas in Český Krumlov, enriched with the Old Bohemian Christmas Market with punch and Christmas cookies evokes a festive feeling in everyone.

On Friday, November 30, the gates of the Advent and Christmas market will open at the Svornosti square in Český Krumlov. Until January 6, 2019, you can enjoy here the Christmas punch and Christmas cookies daily. Small gifts, traditional products with Christmas themes or decorations will also be available.

The spell of the city in Advent time will intensify the traditional program: the Music and Poetry filled Asvent Opening and Lighting of the Christmas Tree (December 2), the Joint Singing of the Carols (December 12 and 16), the Angelic Procession throug the Town (December 7), the Arrival of St. Nicolas (December 5), the Advent-themed Photo Session at the Museum Photo Studio Seidel  (1st - 2nd December and 8th - 9th December), Angelic Advent Saturday at the Monasteries, Christmas for Dogs (December 21st), Advent Wooden Rafting or Christmas for the bears (December 24). The magical end of the pre-Christmas period will be Living Bethlehem (December 23) - a live biblical image with Christmas carol singing.

The Baby Jesus Post Office receives this year children's letters to Baby Jesus since Sunday 2nd December. The mailbox for children's letters will be available at the Svornosti square on the small bell tower under the Christmas tree. On Sunday 9 December, at 3 pm, Baby Jesus Post Office will be opened at Golden Angel, and at 4.30 pm the White Lady will be visiting our town and she will then deliver the children's letters to Baby Jesus.
