The graphite mine offers extraordinary experience for its visitors
From 1st June 2007 the graphite mine tours will run again in Český Krumlov. The best idea is to enjoy an hour´s miner´s train journey bellow Český Krumlov and its surroundings with the whole family. Your children will remember the train´s journey for a long time.
In the beginning you will get miner´s equipment and before entering the mines you will be shortly informed about the safety precautions in the mines. Then you get in the train and let yourselves be taken underground.
The tour measures more than 2 kms. You will go by train the distance of about 1,5km and you will walk the rest of the route while observing mining illustrations and listening to the explanation of a professional guide.
The Czech tour costs 150 Kč, children till 15 years 80 Kč. The German tour costs 200 Kč. Other foreign visitors can follow the text for the tour in English, French, Spanish and Dutch. The maximum number of people for one tour is 22.
Every day from 1st June till 31st August it is possible to visit the mines. In the period from 1st September to 31st May 2008 the graphite mines will be open from Monday till Friday.
