It is the time of year to remember the tradition of carnival festivities. Included in the schedule are a proper carnival feast and a carnival procession through the town.
Carnival will enter the town on Saturday 1 March. A traditional folk feast will kick off at 11 am in the brewery gardens in a heated tent with plenty of dancing and culinary delights. You can view demonstrations of a traditional pig killing and buy pig meat specialties and other delicacies, relax, have a dance and children can play in the kids corner. Live band Corso will create a lively atmosphere.
The traditional carnival procession will enter the streets on Tuesday 4 March at 4 pm. A merry suite of pupils of the Artistic Elementary School in Český Krumlov, students of St. Agnes School of Arts and Design, artists and citizens of Český Krumlov will entertain you with their fun performance and will be awarded with donuts, little cakes and some "fire water" as well.
Some local restaurant will also celebrate carnival and you can taste traditional pig specials.
