Magical Krumlov 2012
A unique spring event for both children and adults will take place in Český Krumlov from 30 April to 1 May: Magical Krumlov. Only in Český Krumlov you can kiss under the blossoming tree in the Love Square.
Children and grown ups can look forward to a varied and abundant schedule of events for both days. Town representatives will open the event Magical Krumlov on Monday at 2 pm in the Brewery Gardens and the fun begins. Children can play various games, pain a picture or roast their first spring sausages over fire. Another entertaining activity will be the production of witch costumes along with witch make up. Afterwards all little witches can show off during a parade.
On Monday from 2.05 pm you can watch musical, dance and theatrical performances during the first part of the Artistic Elementary School Český Krumlov festival. At 3.45 pm children can watch a fairytale performance "About Budulínek". In the afternoon there will be presentations by the ensembles of the House of Children and Youth - you will see Oriental dances, majorettes, cheerleaders and Tancovátko ensemble. The Artistic Elementary School Festival Český Krumlov will continue from 5.30 pm by sections´ presentations. Among others there will be performance by the Brass Orchestra with guest.
At Krumlov Fair you can learn about local non-profit organizations, ensembles, groups and schools and their activities. Museum Photo Studio Seidel has prepared an afternoon surprise. You can have an original portrait postcard taken directly in the Museum gardens in the style of our Grandmothers and send it straight to your loved ones. The event schedule also includes the joint Maypole decoration and erection, lantern procession or lighting the pyre. Monday schedule in the Brewery Gardens wil culminate with an evening performance by the local HK BAND.
If you are fans of classical music, you are invited to the Love Square. On Monday at 5 pm you can listen to pieces by Rossini, Verdi or G. Miller. Performing will be an Italian symphonic orchestra Banda Sociale Meratese on a visit to Český Krumlov during their tour.
Tuesday festive afternoon may be spent relaxing on the Love Square where you can visit one of the restaurants and cafés. As part of the May Open Door Afternoon of Museums and Galleries you can for free visit the Czech Culture Gallery, International Art Gallery, International Art Studio and Regional Museum. Entry fee to Museum Photo Studio Seidel will be reduced by 50% this May afternoon.
