Baroque Arts Festival Český Krumlov

6th year of the prestigious Baroque Arts Festival will take place in Český Krumlov during 20 - 22 September. The events schedule includes not only three special performances of the opera Siface but also a number of interesting concerts.

A modern age premiere of the complete scenic version of baroque opera Siface by the famous Neapolitan composer Nicola Porpora will be the highlight of this year's Festival. The opera will be performed by experienced soloists and a first class baroque music orchestra Hof-Musici on 20, 21 and 22 September at the unique Baroque Theatre at the Castle.

The Festival will also present Italian music of the 16th and 17th centuries, music of the Danube monarchy and festive music of the 17th and 18th centuries. There will also be traditional baroque fireworks and festive baroque illumination.

An Italian chamber music concert from the high baroque period by Anna Januj (fipple flute), Szabolcs Illés (violoncello da spalla) and Ondřej Macek (cembalo) is set to be a unique experience.
