Christiane Noll starred on Broadway in the Kennedy Center Revival of Ragtime, receiving Tony and Drama Desk award nominations and winning a Helen Hayes award for her portrayal of Mother.

Hugh Panaro is critically lauded and adored by fans. He demonstrates versatility, charisma, tremendous vocal talent, and movie star good looks.

The most respected Czech cellist of the present time, Jiří Bárta studied his instrument with Josef Chuchro and Mirko Škampa in Prague, and with Boris Pergamenschikow in Cologne. He was won prestigious honours in many international competitions including the Rostropovich-Hammer Award in Los Angeles.

Soprano Sooyeon Kim, a native of South Korea has captured the world’s audience’s attention with her silvery and luscious lyric voice. She studied at Juilliard School and at Indiana University in the United States.

Polish tenor Piotr Beczała holds a place at the absolute pinnacle in his field on the international scene. He launched his dazzling career in 1996 in the provincial theatre in Linz, only a year later became a regular soloist with the opera in Zürich and in April 2004 debuted in Covent Garden as the Italian singer in Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier.

Sondra Radvanovsky is a globally celebrated artist who performs at the most prestigious opera stages.

Leoš Svárovský works with the Slovak Philharmonic as a permanent guest conductor, cooperates with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and Czech Philharmonic Choir Brno.

The Prague Philharmonia was founded in 1994 by Jiří Bělohlávek as an ensemble comprising fresh graduates of music schools.

Miroslav Ambroš has been studying at the Faculty of Music of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under Prof. Ivan Štraus since 2006 and since October 2008 also at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover under Prof. Krzysztof Wegrzyn.

Jarosław Nadrzycki made his Moscow debut with the Moscow Conservatory Orchestra at the age of 12 at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory Great Hall with the accompaniment of the orchestra of this institution. At present he is considered to be one of the most promising violin virtuosos of his generation.

Conductor, composer and pianist Jan Kučera belongs to the most versatile Czech artists. As a conductor he regularly cooperates with leading Czech orchestras with which, besides classical musical repertoire, he has performed or recorded more than one hundred symphonic compositions of contemporary authors, often as premieres.

The South Czech Philharmonic was founded in České Budějovice in 1981. Currently it has 37 members and continues to be the only professional philharmonic orchestra in the South Bohemian Region. Conductor Jaroslav Vodňanský stood at the birth of the orchestra and Jan Talich has been the chief conductor since 2008. Besides the natural interpretation of music by classical composers and compositions suitable for smaller orchestras, the orchestra is increasingly following the current trend of connecting genres, discovering new views on interpretation and presentation.

Christian Schulz comes from a well-known Viennese family of musicians and started his musical career of cellist with violoncello studies. Later on he studied conducting. He studied both these specializations at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He performs as a chamber musician, soloist and recently has performed as cellist with the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra.

The Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, whose tradition goes back to 1926, is one of the leading and also longest established Czech ensembles. It has gained an important place on the Czech concert scene thanks to its ever-increasing artistic standard.

This year’s musical evening will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of brilliant American conductor and composer Leonard Bernstein. The program, which will include a selection from the musicals “On the Town”, “Wonderful Town”, “Candide”, “West Side Story”, “1600 Pennsylvania Avenue” and others, will pay tribute to his art.

Dee Roscioli is best known for her portrayal of Elphaba in the smash Broadway hit Wicked. She has performed this role on Broadway, in Chicago and across the US and holds the distinction of having performed Elphaba in more performances than any other actress. This past summer, Dee performed the leading role of Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival.

Musical artist and Broadway actor, Darius de Haas, is a singular performer known for his soaring tenor voice and an emotional honesty that has captivated audiences with his work on stage, recordings, and concert venues around the world.

With three music director positions, arrangements and compositions played around the world, a demanding guest conducting schedule, major awards, and a career spanning four continents, Randall Craig Fleischer is making a substantial impact.

Under the guidance of pedagogues Milan Zelenka and Arnošt Sádlík he then earned a diploma at the Prague Conservatoire, before continuing his studies at Prague’s Academy of Performing Arts with the legendary guitar virtuoso Štěpán Rak. He also played in master classes led by David Russell and Abel Carlevaro. Further valuable experience came from participation in many competitions and music festivals.

The special swing evening was prepared by singer Jan Smigmator, who will present songs by George Gerschwin, whose 120th anniversary since his birth will be celebrated around the world in 2018, and also famous songs by Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart, Duke Ellington, Michel Legrand, Cole Porter and Irving Berlin. Precious guests of the concert will be multi-genre singer Dasha and one of the biggest stars of the European swing scene, singer Tom Gaebel, as well as the dance group Pop Balet, which will complement the swing atmosphere perfectly and transfer the viewers almost to Las Vegas. Instrumental solos will be presented by a legend of popular Czech music, phenomenal clarinettist and saxophonist Felix Slováček and a number of musicians from his RTV Big Band supplemented by a string section. The program will also include songs from the repertoire of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Barbra Streisand, Dean Martin and others.

Iranian violinist Amin Ghafari has been invited by the Austrian Academy of Allegro Vivo to perform at their 38th summer festival. Considering the high standards of the Allegro Vivo set by experienced artists and lecturers, “I think the international event is a good experience for me,” Ghafari told Mehr News Agency. Ghafari is a member of Iran’s National Orchestra and Tehran Symphony Orchestra, and is appreciative “of the high value of participating in international events and festivals.”

Nikol Kraft is studying conducting at the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts (JAMU) in Brno under Jan Zbavitel. At present she has a scholarship at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Vienna, where she was admitted into the class of renowned professor Mark Stringer.

The ensemble Concilium musicum Wien was founded in 1982 by Paul and Christoph Angerer with the aim to perform music of the 18th century in the manner in which it was performed in its time. Over the course of its existence the ensemble’s repertoire has expanded in scope and range and at present ranges from Baroque music to dance music of the 19th century.

Tanja Becker-Bender was early on awarded top prizes at international competitions, where she performed with renowned orchestras such as the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Jerusalem Philharmonic Orchestra, Houston Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Radio Symphony Orchestra Stuttgart SWR and the Konzerthaus Orchestra in Berlin.

Manuel Hernández-Silva conducts at important international festivals and he is a regular guest of foreign orchestras.

The popular band Čechomor plays original versions of Czech, Moravian, and Slovak popular songs. During its existence, the band has travelled all Europe, North America, and Russia, has cooperated with several theatres and important artists.

The Slovak artistic ensemble Lúčnica, an awardee of the highest rank at home and abroad, symbolizes the original culture of our nation, genuine in its dance, instrumental and vocal expressions. Slovak national art has found an honest representative in Lúčnica, abundantly spreading its unique and rich heritage to the excited domestic as well as international audience.
